A Day in the Life

A Sample Tuesday's Schedule
(Note: The schedule is different every day at the Woolman Semester):

6:30-7:15 Body Movement
7:15 Breakfast
7:45 Settling in: Staff and students meet for announcements.
8:00-10:00 World Issues:  Discuss Cornel West’s ideas of “Socratic questioning”
10:00-12:00 Peace Studies:  Share student poems, discuss gender and race themes in poetry of bell hooks
12:00 Lunch (and dish crew if its your turn)
1:00-3:00 Student home work time/independent study
3:00-5:00 Environmental Science:  Continue discussion of forest ecology and analyze data from on-going forest transect project.
5:00-6:00 Free time
6:00 Dinner: A hearty, family-style meal begun with a moment of silence and words of reflection upon the day
7:00-10:00 Supervised homework time in the classroom or cabin
10:00 Check in at cabins
